Thank you for visiting the website of the Bedford Springs Music Festival.
From 1982 to 1989 a music festival was held every summer at the Bedford Springs Resort. Artists from all over the world performed in concert over a six-week period. We are delighted to have inaugurated a new concert series last summer and hope to hold a full series next summer on the grounds of the resort.
This summer, as we continue to work with the Bedford Springs Resort on a suitable Festival site for next year, we will hold one concert, under a tent at Old Bedford Village. We are delighted to welcome the Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra playing a perfect summer program of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons,” Bach’s Double Violin Concerto, and excerpts from Handel’s oratorio “Solomon".
This concert is an event of the Pittsburgh 250 celebration noting the 250th anniversary of the founding of Pittsburgh, because works of these three composers were played at that time. Bedford played a major role in the French and Indian War.
The 2008 concert will be held on Saturday, July 19, at 7:30 P.M. To purchase tickets, click here.
